With a minimum of 8 students, we offer a deeply intimate experience where each member of your group is treated as an individual. We provide private, beautifully designed cabanas—each with a king and single bed—along with a complimentary room for one teacher, creating a setting where you can relax, reflect, and reconnect with your inner self. Meals are not included, allowing you the freedom to choose your culinary journey, but we are happy to assist in creating a tailored itinerary for your retreat, guiding you through transformative experiences designed to nourish body and soul.

Our offerings go beyond traditional retreat services. We provide private boat trips, surf instructors, massage therapists, and nature tours—all at your disposal. If you wish, we can even incorporate community volunteer activities, such as a visit to the turtle nursery or a beach clean-up, adding a sense of purpose and connection to the larger world.

For yoga and meditation, our main deck offers a peaceful, open space where up to 8 guests can practice in unison, surrounded by the sounds of nature. If you seek a more expansive space, we can move to our lower deck, where the ambiance is perfect for larger practices or group meals.

Our menu reflects the holistic nature of your retreat—crafted from ingredients grown on our land, wild-caught from our boat, and sourced locally to nourish and invigorate. Retreat Host Policy for Group Reservations

PAYMENT POLICY

Full payment for room reservations is due immediately to secure the booking. If necessary, a payment plan may be arranged, but must be agreed upon in advance.

RETREAT CANCELLATION POLICY

It is your responsibility to thoroughly read and understand our cancellation policy before confirming your reservation. While we understand that unexpected events occur, we advise all group hosts to purchase comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance as soon as you confirm your group’s reservation.

DEFINITIONS

  • “Cancellation” refers to the act of not attending your scheduled retreat date, including postponing or rescheduling.

  • “You” refers to the retreat host responsible for making the group reservation.

  • “We” refers to Santosha Surf Sanctuary & Wellness.

TRAVEL AND CANCELLATION INSURANCE

It is mandatory that you purchase travel and cancellation insurance immediately after securing your reservation. Your insurance policy should cover all relevant sports activities included in your retreat, as well as any potential trip cancellation. Insurance typically must be purchased within 14 days of booking to ensure full coverage. Please be aware that failure to obtain appropriate insurance may result in forfeiting some or all of your payments should you need to cancel.

GUEST CANCELLATION POLICY

Santosha does not offer refunds for cancellations under any circumstances. However, a portion of your payment may be used as credit for a future stay or group retreat, to be taken within 2 months of your original retreat date (excluding holiday periods). Cancellation penalties will apply as follows:

  • More than 90 days before your retreat start date: 100% of your payment can be applied to another retreat within 2 months, excluding holiday dates.

  • 60 - 90 days before your retreat start date: 50% of your payment may be applied to another retreat within 2 months.

  • 30 - 45 days before your retreat start date: You will forfeit the entire payment.

  • Less than 30 days before your retreat start date: No credit or refund will be issued.

STRICT NO EXCEPTIONS POLICY:

  • Late arrivals or early departures will not be credited or refunded.

  • Guests arriving early or extending their stay will be required to pay the standard advertised rates for additional meals, accommodations, and activities.

  • No exceptions will be made to this policy for any reason, including personal circumstances or external factors.

CANCELLATION BY SANTOSHA

In the rare event that Santosha must cancel a reservation or retreat, you will have the option to transfer your full retreat payment to another date within 2 months or receive a full refund. However, cancellations due to weather-related emergencies or unforeseen natural events will not be considered grounds for a refund, as we cannot control nature.

DISCLAIMER

Santosha is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the retreat host or guests in preparation for a canceled retreat, such as airline tickets, lost work days, or other costs associated with the retreat.

We encourage all retreat hosts to ensure they and their group fully understand these policies and make any necessary preparations well in advance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
